Sainik School Coaching in Jaipur: The Pink City
December 4, 1971. Longewala. Rajasthan desert. Midnight.
Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri had 120 soldiers. The Pakistani army had 2,000 soldiers and 45 tanks. They were coming straight for his post.
His commanding officer radioed. Retreat if you must.
Chandpuri looked at his men. Looked at the desert. Made a decision.
We will not run.
What happened next became a Bollywood movie. You watched it. Border. Sunny Deol. Remember?
But here is what the movie did not show properly.
The entire night, those 120 men held their position. No tanks. No backup just some rifles and anti tank weapons until the morning indian sky force came and until afternoon 40 pakistanis were burning in the sand.
Chandpuri received Maha Vir Chakra. Second highest military honor.
This happened in Rajasthan. Your state. The Thar desert where your ancestors fought for centuries.
So when parents ask me about Sainik School Coaching in Jaipur, I tell them this story first. Because Rajasthan is different. The blood here runs different. History here is not something you read in textbooks. It is something you breathe.
Let me explain something.
Rajputana Rifles. Oldest rifle regiment of Indian Army.. Before America was even a country, Rajputs were fighting in battalions.
Here are the numbers. Pay attention.
Four Victoria Crosses. One Param Vir Chakra. Ten Maha Vir Chakras. Fifty Vir Chakras. Forty-four Military Crosses. One hundred twenty-two Sena Medals.
During World War I alone, Rajputana soldiers earned 37 battle honors. Highest by any regiment. They fought in France. Palestine. Egypt. Mesopotamia.
The motto? Veer Bhogya Vasundhara. The brave shall inherit the earth.
War cry? Raja Ram Chandra Ki Jai.
These are not just words. These are promises. Promises that Rajasthani soldiers have kept for 250 years across battlefields on four continents.
Company Havildar Major Piru Singh. 6th Rajputana Rifles. Kashmir, 1948. He single-handedly charged enemy positions. Killed several enemies. Got wounded. Kept fighting. Died charging the final bunker.
Param Vir Chakra. Posthumous.
This is your heritage. This is what RMS Coaching in Jaipur connects your child to.
Sawai Jai Singh II. Born November 3, 1688.
Most kings in history are remembered for wars. This one? He is remembered for mathematics. Astronomy. City planning.
He became king at age eleven. Eleven. When most children are playing marbles, he was ruling a kingdom.
Emperor Aurangzeb tested him. The boy impressed. Aurangzeb gave him the title Sawai β one and a quarter. Meaning he was a quarter better than everyone else.
That title stuck. Every ruler of Jaipur after him used it.
In 1727, Jai Singh had a problem. His capital Amber was overcrowded. Water was scarce. The hilly terrain made expansion impossible.
Most kings would have just built some new buildings. Added some walls. Called it done.
Not this one.
He dreamed of a completely new city. Planned from scratch. Based on ancient texts of architecture and astronomy. Consulted Bengali scholar Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Studied European city layouts. Combined everything.
Result? Jaipur. India's first planned city. Grid pattern streets. Nine blocks representing nine planets. Wide roads. Proper drainage. Defensive walls with seven gates.
The construction took four years. By 1731, the city was complete.
Now here is the interesting part.
Jai Singh also built Jantar Mantar. Giant stone instruments to measure stars and planets. So accurate they can tell time to two-second precision. Without electricity. Without computers. Just geometry and masonry.
This was 1734. Europeans were still using crude telescopes.
What does this have to do with Military School Entrance Coaching in Jaipur?
Everything.
Military officers need more than fighting spirit. They need discipline. Planning. Precision. The ability to think ahead. To calculate. To design strategies.
Sawai Jai Singh showed all these qualities at age eleven. Your child can learn these same qualities. Starting now.
Let me be practical. Distances matter.
RMS Ajmer: 135 kilometers. Two hours drive. This is your closest Rashtriya Military School β. Established 1930. Located at the foot of Mount Madar. Beautiful campus. 87 acres. Directly under Ministry of Defence.
Sainik School Chittorgarh: 310 kilometers. Five hours drive. One of the first five Sainik Schools in India. Established 1961. 272 acres. Ranked 3rd best boys boarding school in India (2019-20).
RMS Dholpur: 280 kilometers. Four hours drive. Youngest RMS. Established 1962. Housed in actual palace β Kesarbagh Palace donated by former Maharaja. 1500 acres campus.
RIMC Dehradun: 480 kilometers. The ultimate goal. Rashtriya Indian Military College β. Established 1922. Produces Army Chiefs.
Notice something?
Jaipur has TWO Rashtriya Military Schools within driving distance. Ajmer and Dholpur. Both in Rajasthan. This is advantage. Same state domicile. Easier admission. More seats available.
When I provide RIMC Coaching in Jaipur, I always explain this geography advantage. Use it.
Here is why Jaipur is called Pink City.
Prince Albert Edward β future King of England β was visiting India. He was coming to Jaipur.
Sawai Ram Singh II was the ruler then. He wanted to impress the guest. Wanted to show Rajput hospitality.
So he did something dramatic.
Painted the entire city pink. Every building. Every shop. Every wall. Pink β the color of welcome in Rajput tradition.
The prince was impressed. Obviously.
That tradition continues. To this day, municipal law requires buildings in the old city to be painted pink. Violation means fine.
Why am I telling you this?
Because hospitality is also a military value. Taking care of guests. Making effort. Going beyond minimum. These qualities matter in armed forces. Officers who host visiting dignitaries need these skills. Officers who manage mess facilities need these skills. Officers who represent India abroad need these skills.
Military is not just about shooting. It is about representing your country with grace and dignity.
Best Sainik Coaching in Jaipur teaches academics. But the city teaches hospitality. The combination creates complete officers.
Let me be clear about what your child faces.
AISSEE (All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination)
For Class 6 entry:
For Class 9 entry:
RMS CET (Rashtriya Military School Common Entrance Test)
For Class 6:
For Class 9:
RIMC Entrance
Important information. Read carefully.
Sainik School Chittorgarh reserves 67% seats for Rajasthan domicile candidates. This is huge advantage.
RMS Ajmer and RMS Dholpur also give preference to Rajasthan residents for certain categories.
What does this mean?
Your child, being from Jaipur, has better odds than a candidate from Gujarat or Maharashtra trying for the same seats. The system works in your favor. But only if your child is prepared.
Reservation helps. But you still need to clear the cutoff. You still need to perform in interview. Reservation just means you compete in smaller pool. That pool is still competitive.
RMS Class 6 & 9 Preparation in Jaipur makes sense because Rajasthan has multiple military schools. More options. Better chances. Geographic convenience for visits and interviews.
Here is honest truth.
Many coaching centers focus only on cramming. They make children memorize formulas. Practice same questions hundred times. This works for average schools.
Military school selection is different.
The interview board does not care if your child can recite Pythagoras theorem. They care if your child can apply it. They care if your child can think. They care if your child can communicate.
Our approach at RIMC Entrance Exam Coaching in Jaipur covers:
Conceptual Mathematics. Not memorization. Understanding. Why does the formula work? What happens if conditions change? How do you solve problems you have never seen before?
Intelligence Training. Pattern recognition. Logical reasoning. Spatial visualization. These skills can be developed. With practice. With proper guidance.
Language Skills. Reading comprehension. Grammar. Vocabulary. But also β and this is important β speaking skills. Interview is verbal. Written English is not enough.
General Knowledge. Current affairs. History. Geography. Science. But also β how to present this knowledge. How to structure answers. How to show confidence without arrogance.
Physical Preparation. Running. Exercises. Stamina building. Military schools have strict physical requirements. Morning PT. Cross-country runs. Sports competitions. Unprepared children suffer.
Interview Practice. Mock sessions with ex-servicemen. Real questions. Real pressure. Real feedback. Most children fail interviews because they never practiced interviews.
Jaipur has three famous forts. Each teaches a lesson.
Amber Fort. Built for beauty and defense. The palace of mirrors inside β Sheesh Mahal β shows artistic sophistication. But the walls? Those walls resisted attacks for centuries. Beauty and strength together.
Lesson: Military officers need both. They must be refined. Educated. Cultured. But also tough. Resilient. Unbreakable.
Jaigarh Fort. Houses Jaivana β world's largest cannon on wheels. Built by Sawai Jai Singh before he moved to Jaipur. Never fired in battle. Why? Because enemies knew it existed. Deterrence.
Lesson: True strength prevents conflict. Being so capable that enemies choose not to attack. This is strategic thinking.
Nahargarh Fort. Built to strengthen defenses around Jaipur. Named after a local ghost (Nahar Singh Bhomia) whose spirit supposedly haunted construction until properly appeased.
Lesson: Even rational leaders respect local sentiments. Military officers serve diverse communities. Cultural sensitivity matters.
These are not just tourist spots. These are classrooms. Every child in Jaipur should understand what these forts teach.
Let me give you reality check.
Sainik School Chittorgarh admits approximately 90-100 students per year for Class 6. Applications received? Usually 6,000 to 10,000.
Do the math. That is 60 to 100 applicants per seat.
RMS Ajmer? Similar ratios.
RIMC Dehradun? Even worse. Around 25-30 seats. Thousands of applications from across India.
This is not neighborhood school admission. This is selection. Fierce selection. Merit-based selection.
Children who succeed are not just bright. They are prepared. Systematically prepared. Over months. Sometimes years.
Their parents invested time. Money. Effort. They did not leave outcomes to luck. They did not assume "my child is smart, they will manage."
Smart is not enough. Prepared is necessary.
Here is something most coaching centers do not tell you.
Military culture in Rajasthan is deep. Generational. Families here have sent sons to armies for centuries. First to princely state forces. Then to British Indian Army. Now to Indian Army.
Many villages have memorial stones for soldiers martyred in various wars. Families maintain these traditions. Grandfathers tell stories. Children grow up hearing about sacrifice.
This cultural environment helps. Children from military-aware families understand what they are getting into. They know the demands. The challenges. The rewards.
If your family does not have this background? That is fine. The tradition can start with your child. First generation soldiers exist. They can be just as successful.
But then preparation matters even more. The child needs to understand military culture through other means. Through reading. Through meeting ex-servicemen. Through visiting military museums. Through watching documentaries (good ones, not just Bollywood).
Our coaching provides this exposure. Not just academics. Cultural orientation too.
Jaipur City: Malviya Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Mansarovar, Jagatpura, Raja Park, C-Scheme, Bani Park, Tonk Road, Ajmer Road, Delhi Road, Sikar Road, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jhotwara.
Nearby Districts: Dausa (55 km), Alwar (150 km), Sikar (115 km), Jhunjhunu (180 km), Ajmer (135 km), Tonk (95 km), Sawai Madhopur (130 km).
Online Preparation: Available for students in remote areas of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer. Barmer. Bikaner. Jodhpur. Distance should not stop determined children.
Three hundred years ago, Sawai Jai Singh built this city. Planned every street. Calculated every angle. Created something that still stands.
Two hundred fifty years ago, first Rajput battalions formed under British command. They fought in battles across the world. They earned honors that their descendants still carry.
Fifty years ago, 120 soldiers held Longewala against 2,000 attackers. They did not retreat. They did not surrender. They held until morning.
This is Rajasthan. This is your heritage. This is what your children can become part of.
The entrance exams are doorways. The preparation is the key. The decision is yours.
Veer Bhogya Vasundhara. The brave shall inherit the earth.
Will your child be among the brave?
From the Pink City that honors guests to the desert that breeds warriors β Jaipur understands both hospitality and heroism. Now help your child understand their path.
Jaipur is state capital. Largest city in Rajasthan. Educational hub with dozens of coaching centers.
But Sainik School Coaching in Jaipur is not like coaching for board exams. This is different preparation. For different outcome. Requiring different approach.
The children who succeed have three qualities:
Desire. They actually want military life. Not their parents' dream imposed on them. Their own desire. You can see it in their eyes when they talk about defense services.
Discipline. They wake up early. Study regularly. Exercise daily. Follow schedules. This cannot be forced. It must be developed.
Determination. They do not give up when problems come. When math becomes hard. When running becomes painful. When mock tests show poor results. They push through.
If your child has these three, we can work with them. If even one is missing, it will be difficult.
We do not promise easy success. We promise honest effort. Proper guidance. Systematic preparation.
The rest? That depends on your child.
